This tasty ale pours a beautiful dark copper color and due to the moderate carbonation, only leaves a short head with very little lacing around the glass.  I get light smells of caramel, a bready yeast and maybe a touch of coffee or roasted smoky malts.

Wasn’t sure what to expect from my first Scotch Ale, I was surprised at how creamy it was. The toffee and caramel really come out on the finish and leave with a bit of the nuttiness of the roasted malt. It’s only got an ABV of 7.7% but after it warmed up I got a touch of the alcohol burn which was really nice. We like the burn.

This is a great brew and I really wish I had bought a couple more.
